Abraham Cowleyes one of the English metaphysical poets of the SEVENTEENTH century.
Expatriate by monarchical, lived outside of England until 1656.
He composed poems lyrics intimate character, love making and anacreónticas. The ten añoscompuso Tragicall History of Piramus and Thisbe. At sixteen, Poetic Flowers. At the end of the thirty, he wrote his poem, a biblical epic about the story of king David, with a book in the original Latin, and the rest in an English version in four books, entitled Davideis, which he published much later.
He is buried in the Abbey of Westminster.
